Black grape varieties rooted in the location.
Bobal is an indigenous black variety of Utiel-Requena. The regulatory council describes Bobal as producing deeply colored, structured reds. Even when studying a region’s representative variety, do not consider just a single full-bodied red as representing all uses of the grape.
Also used for rosé
The same official sources also include Bobal rosé. Using a red-skinned grape does not always mean the finished wine is red. To compare red and rosé, check the winemaking details for skin contact and pressing in the product specification.
How to interpret information noted as 'old vines'.
The regulatory council also introduces old-vine Bobal vineyards. However, you cannot determine yield or quality from the “old vine” indication alone. Only after confirming the planting year, yield, grape condition, and vinification can you relate that vineyard to a particular wine.

According to the official information, what is the recommended use?
Black varieties are also used for rosé. The type of wine is not limited to just the color of the skins.
When comparing reds and rosés, which winemaking steps should you check?
Even with shared raw material, handling of the skins varies. Check specific methods in product information.
What are the limits of what can be known from old vines?
Vine age is a vineyard characteristic. Yield, vine health, and winemaking conditions are not automatically determined by it.
